If the collection of mixed waste is addressed, the need for the placement of such bins on the street would reduce greatly. Finally, the system isdesigned to provide services at a low cost while maintaining a high level ofaccuracy in terms of technological advancement in the field of artificialintelligence (AI). The people who dump garbage illegally should be identified and penalised to prevent instances of garbage being dumped on streets and around the bins. Thus, the system helps fulfill the criteria of a circulareconomy through resource optimization and extraction. The use of this system canaid in the process of recycling resources that were initially destined tobecome waste, utilizing natural resources, and turning these resources backinto usable products. The entire system is controlledremotely through an Android app in order to dump the separated waste in thedesired place thanks to its automation properties. This machine has the provision to notify the responsible authorityregarding the waste level of the bins and the time to trash out the bins filledwith garbage by using the ultrasonic sensors placed in each bin and thedual-band GSM-based communication technology. In this paper, deep learning and image processingtechniques are applied to precisely classify the waste, and the detected wasteis placed inside the corresponding bins with the help of a servo motor-basedsystem. This paper proposes a machine to segregatewaste into different parts with the help of a smart object detection algorithmusing ConvoWaste in the field of deep convolutional neural networks (DCNN) andimage processing techniques. An automatic waste segregationsystem can be a viable solution to improve the sustainability of the countryand boost the circular economy. ![]() Nowadays, proper urban waste management is one of the biggest concerns formaintaining a green and clean environment. ![]()
